Ruth Raventós

Ruth Raventós is one of the co-founders of Nelio and currently its CEO. She obtained her PhD in Software Engineering from UPC-BarcelonaTech after a MSc in Information Systems at DePaul University of Chicago. For almost ten years, she has worked as a software developer and analyst at various companies (ICT, COOB’92, RACC and Mutual Cyclops). Furthermore, she has been associate professor at the UPC and Vice-dean of Corporate International Relations at the Barcelona School of Informatics. She has taught courses related to software engineering and management of information systems at ESADE business school in Barcelona and at the Barcelona School of Informatics. She is also one of the early investors in Appically, a software company that develops and publishes tablet and smartphone apps for people with special needs (autism, ASD, ADHD, Down ’s syndrome, etc.).
