Marcos Carvalho

 

About me:

 

Marcos Carvalho received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering (2018) and Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (2021) from the Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG), Goiânia (Brazil). During his studies at UFG, his research was focused on telecommunications network optimization. He worked as Software Developer at a health insurance company and as Business Intelligence Consultant at a holding company, having professional experience with Data Warehouse, ETL and Data Visualization.

 

Currently, he is an Early Stage Researcher (ESR 2.1) of the joint doctoral programme Data Engineering for Data Science (DEDS) program and his research is related to Data Processing Optimization, Machine Learning and Heterogeneous Hardware. He is carrying out his studies at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) as the Home institution in Barcelona (Spain), at Athena Research and Innovation Centre in Information, Communication and Knowledge Technologies (ARC) as the Host institution in Athens (Greece) and at Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) as the secondment organization.
