Cecilia Delgado, Eladio Garví, José SamosDescription
During the collaboration with Universidad de Granada we studied existing multidimensional data models, and how representing semantics could be improved by using Object-Oriented (specifically UML) concepts. Multidimensional modeling is the main characteristic of OLAP tools. It is an analysis technique that helps to understand data by considering it in a multidimensional space (also known as cube or hypercube). The dimensions of this space are the different points of view used to analyze data.
The stays were paid with a travelling grant from Generalitat de Catalunya.Related publications
