Under a Sequoia Tree in Sequoia and King’s Canyon National Park, California

I’m currently a postdoc researcher at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC – BarcelonaTech). I am part of the Department of Services and Information Systems Engineering (ESSI) and the Information and Processing of Information (MPI) research group.

I graduated from UPC in 2009 with a Master’s Degree in Information Technology. Prior to my graduation, I did a internship (part-time) at Indra Sistemas, where I dealt with the management and administration of both databases and operating systems. I also did my my final degree project there with a fellow student. It dealt with the implementation of ISO 20000 in the department where we worked. After my graduation, I worked full time there as an employee for a year, before resolving to change paths and do a PhD. I got a PhD in Computing from UPC in April 2016.

My research is focused on the specification of artifact-centric business process models using UML and OCL, and on reasoning with these models. The main goal is to be able to find a way to check the correctness of these models automatically without user intervention. I am currently working on expanding the research I started in my thesis. You may find a list of the related publications on this website, DBLP or ResearchGate.

Outside my research, I have many different interests. I enjoy acquiring new skills and learning different things from a wide variety of topics such as dog behavior, photography and languages. I speak Catalan, Spanish and English, a little bit of French and I’m currently learning German.
