Welcome to my site!
I’m Montserrat (Montse for short) Estañol, a postdoc researcher at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC – BarcelonaTech). I am part of the Department of Services and Information Systems Engineering (ESSI) and the Information Modelling and Processing (MPI) research group.
I got my PhD in April 2016. My thesis dealt with the specification and reasoning (i.e. automatic verification and validation) of artifact-centric business process models defined using a combination of UML and OCL models. I’m currently focused on expanding the work of my thesis in several directions: adapting the modeling framework to the specific needs of a Spanish company, applying conformance checking techniques to the models and improving the prototype tool I created for my thesis.
