Sweetpotato Pie
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tps. cinnamon
- 1 cup of milk (canned)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 cup cooked, mashed sweet potato
- 1 unbaked pie shell
Process:
Sweet potatoes-buy raw:
Peel them, boil for 30 min. or until tender.
Mash for the pie or serve with butter and sugar in them.
Beat the eggs slightly, add sugar, salt, spices and milk.
Add butter to mushed sweetpotato and blend with milk and egg mixture.
Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake in a hot oven.
Reduce heat to 350 and bake 30 to 40 min. or until filling firm.
Tiramisu (for about 8 people)
Ingredients:
- 1 Kg mascapone (or creamy quark)
- 5 gr instant cofee (expreso)
- 8 yolks of egg
- 200 gr icing sugar
- 4 cl amareto (or brandy)
- 3 packages (225 gr) of bisquits
- 10 gr cacao
Process:
If you are using creamy quark instead of mascapone, filter to get it more thick.Mix the caffe with 1/4 l hot water and let it cool. Mix amareto (or brandy), the yolks and sugar until you get a white mixture. Add the mascapone (or filtered creamy quark). In a deep palte, put a lay of mixture and a lay of bisquits on it. Wet the bisquits with a little bit of coffee. Repeat the layer until finish the mixture. Push down the last lay of bisquits and cover it with cacao. Put it in the fridge as long as posible (24h if you can wait).
