(FIB) Master’s degree in Information Technology (in extinction)

The master’s degree in Information Technology, coordinated by the Barcelona School of Informatics, is an academic degree that offers students the choice of professional specialisation. The degree structure reflects the disciplinary structure and expertise of the Barcelona School of Informatics and of the departments responsible for teaching the course subjects. The degree provides broad, generalist training as well as focusing on specific areas of informatics in greater depth.

The Department of Service and Information System Engineering coordinates two of the five specialisations offered in this degree: Software Engineering and Information Systems, for which it teaches all six subjects; and Information Management and Use, for which it teaches five subjects. The latter of the two specialisations is jointly supervised by the Department of Statistics and Operations Research.
