Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks  grannted under H2020-MSCA-ITN-2020 call together with Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium), Aalborg Universitet (Denmark), and the Athena Research and Innovation Institute (Greece). It was a very competitive call with only 12 European Joint Doctorates being granted.

The objective of the project is to provide holistic support for the end-to-end management of the full lifecycle of data, from capture to exploitation by data scientists. DEDS is the only doctoral programme worldwide with this focus, which is crucial for realizing the next generation of Data Science breakthroughs. It will develop education, research, and innovation at the intersection of data science and data engineering.
