About Me

I'm a Post-doctoral researcher in Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), working in the H2020 European Project OpenReq project. There, I perfom research related to recommender systems and natural language processing, all applied to requirements engineering.

I got a PhD in Computer Science, degree obtained at ESSI (Service and Information System Engineering) Department in Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). I finished a Master in Computing (Information Systems specialty) in the same university, and some months later I enrolled for the PhD.

I have done most of my research inside the Research Group of Software and Service Engineering (GESSI) at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). My current research areas are related to software engineering and requirements engineering, with a special focus on requirements reuse and requirement patterns. As a result of my PhD thesis, the PABRE (PAtterns Based Requirements Elicitation) framework has been created. I am also interested in empirical studies, and on validating and applying research results to industry.

In addition, I have taught some courses at the Facultat d'Informàtica de Barcelona (FIB), which is part of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). Specifically, I taught two semesters the Databases (DB) course and the Software Engineering Project (PES) course.

Since I finished my bachelor degree, I have stayed or lived for quite some time in different countries (United Kingdom, USA, and Sweden), and I have done research stays at: Lancaster University (in 2011), City University of London (in 2011) and Blekinge Technical University (in 2014).
