Board of Trustees Functions and composition

The Board of Trustees of the Department of Service and Information System Engineering was created on the eleventh of October 2011, after the approval by the Board of Trustees of the UPC. The main aim of the Board of Trustees is to bring together companies, institutions and professionals in the field of service and information system engineering in Catalonia.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES FUNCTIONS 

The main functions of the Board of Trustees are:

  1. Assess and advice on changes in undergraduate and marter's degrees offered in the areas of expertise of the department, in order to adapt the teaching offer to the future needs of the economic environment.
  2. Provide students with work experience, final degree projects, final master theses and doctoral theses in organizations members of the Board of Trustees or trustees in their sphere of influence.
  3. Identify current and future needs for research, development and innovation in the economic sector related to service engineering and information systems.
  4. Facilitate technology transfer among Board of Trustees members.
  5. Facilitate participation and the realization of joint research, development and innovation between organizations members of the Board of Trustees and department’s members.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES COMPOSITION


The Board of Trustees will consist of companies and institutions working in the areas of expertise of the department.
